School project. OLD.

Whee, colored pencils. :D The parts around the circle is just a construction paper border.

I found a random picture in a magazine my teacher had and used that. Her lips are very big. I'm pretty sure I didn't mess up on the size or anything, so...wow, that model has huge lips. D:

I don't really like the coloring on the clothes since there's not much smooth transition between the shading and whatnot. :/ Oh well. Too lazy to go back and fix it.

Medium: pencil sketch, Prismacolor colored pencils

PS: This was hung at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California. :D I was proud.

very nice done! I don't really like the blue circle but she is very pretty! I really like how you made her lips!she is quite mysterious because we can't see her eyes!

Incredible work with the colored pencils. The shading is done very well. I wish i had the patience or skill for coloring! I envy you!

Thank you for the comment! :D And I'm glad you noticed the absence of her eyes! The reference picture I used did show her whole face, but I thought it would be more interesting if I cropped it out and just showed her lower face, neck, and shoulders.

Yeah, the blue border kind of takes away from the main picture, but I decided to just leave it alone. I wasn't sure how to get rid of it and I didn't want to mess up the whole thing. XD

yes, as her eyes aren't showed, all our attention goes to the lips! nice idea.

I would have made it just white, maybe it wouldn't take us away of the picture, but it's ok! :)
